When being a homeowner there are lots of responsibilities and tasks to keep up with. We want to make sure that your septic is the easiest to manage for you!

            Where is my septic tank?

For some households, the septic tank has an access point above ground. Which is called a "riser". This can be concrete, plastic, round or square. Most homes do not have risers so you will have to locate them. The average depth of a tank is 12''-18'' inches deep. In some cases they are deeper. They are typically 5'-20' away from the home or structure.

How often should I check my septic?

Septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years. If your system has a sewage pump and ball valves that need to be occasionally adjusted, you will need to contact an licensed operator.

Why is it important to take care of your septic system?

Septic systems are a key part in the hydrologic system. When your leach lines filter the water through the soil down to the water table, it returns to our drinking water. This is why it is so important to maintain your septic and keep it working properly to avoid water contamination.
